Poetry Break #3

Introduction

This poem celebrates mothers and all the special things they do for their children.  Share with children things your mother did for you as a child that you appreciate as an adult.

Mommies

Make you brush your teeth

And put your old clothes on

And clean your room

And call you from the playground

And fuss at daddies and uncles

And tuck you in at night

And kiss you

Extension

Have children share all of the great things their mothers (or guardians and female relatives) do for them. Encourage children to create "Certificates of Appreciation" and present them to their loved ones.
