***"DINOMITE" PROGRAMMING TIP***
My analysis focused on Angela Medearis' The Singing Man and Dancing with Indians. Both tales introduced music in the text and its significance to culture-----West African and Seminole. Music is an important part of American culture and a major source of entertainment for children.
A "music themed storytime" would be extremely exciting for younger kids. After reading books with music as the theme, children will make an arts and crafts instrument and participate in a parade(very small scale in storytime room) with their newly made instruments!
