Schwartz, Alvin. 1985. All of our Noses are Here. New York: Harper Collins
Books. ISBN: 006025288X

All of our Noses are Here contains five stories about the wacky witty Brown family.  The five featured stories include: Jane Gets a Donkey, Grandpa Misses the Boat, Allof our Noses are Here, The Best Boy in the World, and Sam's Girl Friend.  These stories are based on noodle folklore from America, India, Japan, Korea, and the Arabian Nights.

The stories in this book are extremely entertaining.  Readers find out what really happened to Jane's donkey.  Why did grandpa miss the ferry boat?  Did all of the Browns return from their trip together?  How did Sam get into the tree? And lastly, who is that new family in the mirror?  All of these questions are answered in Schwartz's humorous tales.

With clear and comical dialogue, the stories are appropriate for all ages.  The illustrations suport the humorous tone of the stories by providing amusing pictures to coincide with the text.  The odd cartoon-like characters definitely add humor to each page of the book.

These stories are wonderful for all readers who enjoy light simple humorous tales.
